How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. How you make a difference The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies. How you make a difference The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides a full range of psychiatric services to incarcerated patients in accordance with state scope of practice, collaborative protocols, and established policies. This role delivers direct psychiatric care while also providing clinical consultation to mental health and healthcare staff. The position works within state guidelines to support consistent, high-quality psychiatric services across the facility. Clinical consultation and supervision are sought as required under applicable collaborative practice requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment. Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up. Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services. Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call coverage. Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master in Science of Nursing or Post-Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience as a PMHNP required, or may be waived if approved by Vice President of Advanced Practice Program. Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred. Licenses/Certifications Unrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice. Current board certification as a PMHNP. Current DEA Registration (unless Chief Psychiatric Officer determines it as optional). Current BLS certification.
