Nurses provide intermediate-level care for adult through geriatric patients with a variety of different medical diagnoses. The units provide high-level, fast-paced, patient and family centered care. Our nurses acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient’s healthcare journey. Each unit has a specific focus such as bariatrics, neuro spine, dialysis or cardiac services which create a unique culture and fit for virtually every nurse, while still offering the opportunities to care for a wide-variety of monitored patients. Clinical Nurse Educator

Overview Under the guidance of the AVP of Nursing Education and Professional Practice and System Chief Nursing Officer, the Clinical Nurse Educator functions in the roles of Educator, Facilitator, Consultant, Change Agent, and Leader. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) participates in the development of standardized educational initiatives across the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) organization and plays a vital role in leading change in pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development. House Nurse Coordinator

Overview The House Nurse Coordinator (HNC) role is a Registered Nurse, who under the direction of the Community Chief Nursing Officer, represents and serves as a liaison between the administrative team and employees, physicians, patients, families, and customers. To provide general supervision in the hospital and to facilitate communication among employees, patients, families, physicians and administration. Additional key functions include but are not limited to: support and intervene as needed to solve patient care concerns and employee concerns; serve as the bed placement coordinator for patient placement when needed, assist department leaders to adjust daily staffing to census and coordinate ongoing continuity of care in those departments in the absence of the direct supervisor.
