Overview The Medical Assistant is responsible for efficient and courteous registration, transfer and discharge of patients within established policies and procedures; thoroughly compiles and types of medical information for patients' records and statistical reports and maintains current and accurate patient account receivables. Overview The Clinical Nurse Manager, working with Nurse Managers, is accountable for the supervision of nursing services for certain assigned nursing units to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Licensure and Certifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification required. NIH Stroke Certification required. Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG certification required. De-Escalation Training required within six (6) months of hire. Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC) certification preferred. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification preferred. Experience Minimum of one (1) year of acute care nursing experience preferred. Relevant clinical experience in the specific department of assignment preferred. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and achieve desired outcomes. Basic computer proficiency required. Ability to successfully pass a medication examination. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced emergency and patient care environment. Additional Requirements Completion of hospital-approved emergency care training programs and demonstrated competency in emergency care procedures as determined by Nursing Leadership. Completion of required training and competency validation in: Moderate Sedation Stroke Care Modules Restraint Management Must successfully complete unit orientation, including instruction on: Department policies and procedures Equipment operation Patient safety practices Infection prevention and control Performance improvement and quality monitoring activities.
