About Our Nicu 4 The purpose of the Newborn Center at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) is to provide the full spectrum of comprehensive care tending to the clinical and psychosocial needs of all neonates and their families. Texas Children’s Hospital NICU holds the distinct honor to be the first recognized Level IV NICU in The State of Texas and recognized in 2022 and 2024 as the #3 NICU in the country by US News.
