About this unit The Mother-Baby Care Unit is a 29-bed unit that cares for postpartum patients and newborns. Includes rotation within the maternal child health units with training. Scope of work The Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for managing assigned areas and services and supervising assigned patient care staff to promote the creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention and clinical and business outcomes. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, and policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager serves as a chief retention and safety officer. He/she ensures that safety and quality standards are upheld by effective use of data and technology to make decisions and proactively mitigates unnecessary risks for his/her area of responsibility.
