Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provide patient care on an outpatient basis to include procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals. Arrange for referral resources for those medical specialties not provided by the organization for patients of the clinic Evaluate patients to determine the medical condition of the patient, through the performance of physical examinations, thereby, establishing a diagnosis and proposed treatment plan Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with a focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) in the electronic medical record Ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director What’s Required: Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain Ability to obtain: DOT certification within 60 days of hire DEA licensure Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compensation: Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range. Base salary starts at $33.22/hr . E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S Coordinate, Home Dialysis and Training, and nursing management of home dialysis patients . Maintains knowledge of AAMI, CDC, KDOQUI and Network 15 requirements for dialysis units related to home dialysis, infection control and patient care best practices and standards. Completes the department equipment check off list and demonstrates competency on all department equipment. Equipment competency is maintained on an ongoing, annual basis. Assumes the role of Primary Nurse and its responsibilities and duties to assigned patients. Identify, plan, and implement plan to meet primary patient's dialysis needs. Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate medical records, equipment, and perform other essential job functions. Takes call according to the schedule set by the direct supervisor. Fill in outpatient unit when home patient load is not demanding. Must enter patients’ home for initial assessment. E D U C A T I O N Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. E X P E R I E N C E Previous experience in a home dialysis preferred. At least one (1) year of experience as a RN preferred. C R E D E N T I A L S Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH. Must have current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or become certified within eight (8) months of hire.
