Chart detailed monthly evaluations of each Guest that reflect his/her condition and progress. 9. Responsible for all nursing care of assigned Guests while on duty. Must notify appropriate persons if there is any significant change in a Guest’s condition or any transfer to a hospital. 10. Ensure that Guest care plans are being followed and asses each Guest’s status in accord with their care plan. 11. Round with physicians when needed. 12. Administer or supervise all treatments prescribed by physicians including but not limited to pressure ulcer care, Foley catheter care, hot and cold compounds and intravenous therapy. 13. Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluids intake and immediately report any issues to the physician and DON/ADON. 14. Must be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by reporting specific information and observations of the Guest’s needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes. 15. Provide wound care when needed. 16. Completes medical records documenting care provided and other information in accordance with nursing policies while maintaining strict confidentiality. 17. Assure that established infection control and prevention practices and standard precautions are maintained at all times. 18. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies. 19. Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents/incidents and supply issues to appropriate persons. 20. Schedule 40 Hours Per Week Mon & Wed 10:00 am - 7:00 pm; Tue, Thu & Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Closed Daily for lunch 1-hour What You’ll Do Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only) Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
