Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines. Administer Nursing Institute, departmental and CC policies and procedures. Supervise and participate in the daily delivery of patient care on assigned unit/area. Prepare schedule of work assignments, assuring adequate coverage on all shifts. Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcome studies and research initiatives. Participate in department groups and committees as assigned. Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs. Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Certification must be presented upon hire. Two years of recent clinical nurse experience Demonstratable clinical knowledge and skills; oral, written and interpersonal skills; and strong analytical and organization skills Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
