Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our Oneida Pediatrics office. In this role, the Licensed Practical Nurse will provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Fulfill receptionist duties as required, providing courteous and efficient service to patients and visitors. Education: Associate Degree (Preferred). Job Summary The RN - Cardiovascular RN Tech renders direct patient care in accordance with the developmental level of the patient and treats human responses to actual or potential health problems, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the standards established by the State Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, ANA, Standards of Care, and the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Wynn Hospital and MVHS. Job Summary The Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN is a specialized staff nurse who plays a key role in providing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Responsibilities Include: Resident Assessment: Upon admission, readmission, and reevaluation, assess each resident’s respiratory status, risk factors, and needs relevant to nursing, rehabilitation, and intravenous treatment, in collaboration with an RN and medical professional. Initiate Orders and Care Plans: Initiate all appropriate orders, tasks, consults, and care plans for respiratory, nursing, restorative, and intravenous therapies as necessary. Review Orders and Documentation: Regularly review current orders, tasks, care plans, and documentation to ensure they are appropriate and up-to-date. Ongoing Documentation: Document the rationale for current treatments and their continuation in the resident’s medical record as needed; Conduct and document pre- and post-assessments for all treatments daily, ensuring continuity of assessments. Monthly Administration Record Review: Review all administration records monthly, and at the time of treatment discontinuation, to ensure there are no missing signatures or errors. Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration: Attend all relevant meetings to discuss residents with acute changes, active treatments, or those showing declines that may benefit from a nursing restorative/maintenance program. Qualifications Include: NY RN license required with a minimum of one year infusion experience Organized manner to maintain schedule and generate reports in a timely fashion. Reassuring manner to deal with patients of all ages. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching.
