DEFINITION: Develop and implement total nursing care for patients by assessment, nursing diagnosis, patient care plans, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The health center nurse is responsible for: meeting the established Standards of Nurse Care, managing any assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. The health center nurse is accountable to the Health Center Medical Director, Executive Director, patient and family for all nursing behavior. Patient population includes: all age groups to include children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. EDUCATION: Completion of a Medical Assistant program. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Must provide a transcript or diploma of completion of a medical assistant program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One to two years nursing experience in a physician’s office, preferably primary care. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Must maintain current Oklahoma licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP). Must maintain current certification as a family nurse practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as a family nurse practitioner is preferred but not limited required. DEFINITION: Provides quality patient care in the home setting utilizing the nursing process and accomplishes indirect patient/office related work in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home Health Department. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): Authorized to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in mental health facility, with basic knowledge. Satisfactorily completed the hospital orientation program, meet additional credentials for special care unit as indicated in skills checklist. #ZR
