This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, where we have 14 operating rooms and 2 open-heart rooms. The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse functions as an integral member of the cardiovascular surgery team, providing circulating support for a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures and assisting with anesthesia care specific to complex cardiac and vascular cases. The CVOR team manages a broad and diverse case mix, requiring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. In addition to CVOR responsibilities, this nurse is required to circulate in the main operating room and participate in service line rotations including gynecology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and vascular surgery. Indiana Specialty Surgery Center is currently seeking to hire a Pre-Op/Post-Op Registered Nurse! Pre-Op/Post-Op Registered Nurse at Indiana Specialty Surgery Center The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing. Active RN license in the state. ACLS Required Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment. Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit. Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
