Job Title: Educator-RN Department: Nursing Education Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital Hours Per Week: 40 scheduled weekly hours Schedule: 8-hour days, 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday schedule with some nights and weekends as needed SUMMARY: As a Registered Nurse – Educator, your in-depth knowledge and outstanding communication skills are key in fostering quality care, enhanced wellness and ongoing growth and development throughout Rochester Regional. RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluation. Identify and validate the learning needs of customers by utilizing needs assessments, CQI results, performance improvement results, customer surveys and course evaluation results; document the effectiveness of educational offerings by developing, monitoring and assessing competencies; analyze cost to maximize the efficient utilization of resources Development. Create educational programs and curriculum that promote quality healthcare, employee/patient growth and personal wellness; provide leadership in areas of expertise as a resource to the customer; develop communications and audio-visual materials that are clear and concise Implementation. Facilitate programs to meet the identified learning needs of our customers; provide in-depth orientation, in-service and continuing education for staff or patients REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently registered and licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse. Bachelor’s degree required in nursing, health education, or instructional development or an equivalent combination of education and healthcare related work experience will be considered. Minimum of 1 year prior training/teaching experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three years prior training/teaching experience in related educational field.
