Join the University of Chicago Medicine as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) on the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for the comprehensive management of critically ill adult patients in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members. The APP provides evidence-based critical care to patients with complex surgical, trauma, transplant, and emergency general surgery conditions. In this role, you will provide direct care to patients, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentials committee, to include identification, management, and/or referral of health problems.
