Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Pre-Admission Testing RN / PACU - FULL-TIME

The Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients’ health and medical history prior to surgery, conducting necessary diagnostic tests, ensuring that patients are well-prepared for their upcoming procedures, and assisting the surgical scheduler with scheduling and coordination. Additionally, the PAT Nurse will be responsible for making pre-op phone calls to patients to discuss important information regarding their surgery and to address any questions or concerns they may have. The nurse will also provide post-surgery follow-up care, including making follow-up phone calls to monitor recovery and ensure patient satisfaction. The PAT Nurse will maintain detailed logs, as deemed necessary, to track surgical procedures and ensure accurate documentation. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth surgical flow and enhancing overall patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to patient well-being. Education: Minimum Associates Degree required. BSN preferred.
