Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses. The incumbent prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Moreover, the incumbent works in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians and medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. Preforms pre and post anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records. Reviews medical history, evaluating patients and determining proper methods of anesthesia. Performs or evaluate diagnostic tests, such as radiographs (x-rays) and electrocardiograms (EKG’s). Measures and monitors the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
