Follows the policies and procedures of Hospice. Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. 10. Always communicates to the supervisor if unable to meet a patient’s need or perform a procedure. 11. Maintain skills and knowledge. 12. Works with interdisciplinary group concept of patient care. 13. Coordinates the implementation of the plan of care for patients residing in SNF, NF, ICF or MR. 14. Complies with agency infection control policies and protocols. 15. Responsible for notifying charge nurse of medications needing to be refilled. Assures personal and staff compliance to residents' rights. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized medication cart and medication room. May be required to assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, and other activities of daily living. May be required to assist with activities. May be required to perform duties as set forth on Certified Nurse Aide job description as needed. Monitors personal and staff compliance to all State and federal requirements including but not limited to blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety. Monitors personal and staff compliance to resident's rights. CMA may NOT provide residents: IV injections or scheduled I or II narcotics. May be subjected to random drug tests during the course of employment May be required to work in roles that do not require Medication Technician certification as deemed necessary by Facility (e.g. STNA).
