Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence Ensure reception is well maintained Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up. Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building. Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed. A Surgical Technologist at this level is new to the role of a Surg Tech and requires training in order to be fully proficient in all required surgeries on infants and pediatric patients. The Surgical Technologist I provides assistance during surgical procedures by passing sterile instruments to the surgeon. As directed by the surgeon, may hold retractors, sponge or suction operative site, and apply electrocautery within the surgical technologist’s scope of practice.
