Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Operating Room Technician I position is to be under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The OR Technician I performs various duties to assist with surgical procedures and related operating room activities. Under the direction of the RN, the Psychiatric Nursing Assistant (PNA) performs the activities related to the implementation of nursing care plans and the nursing standards, policies and procedures. The PNA is responsible for contributing to the development, evaluation and reassessment of care plans through observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and physical status. The PNA is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the safe and therapeutic environment of the unit. The individual is competent to care for patients in the following age groups: adult (ages 19 - 64) and geriatric (ages 65 +). Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of the Christian Health Care Center. Competencies: Supervises or assists in after meal care (removing trays, encouraging patients in brushing teeth, washing up, etc.). Serves food trays. Assists with feeding as indicated. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Assistant Nurse Manager position is to provide management of day- to-day shift operations of inpatient care unit. Directly responsible for daily staffing and reviews daily shift assignments to obtain efficiency and eliminate overtime.
