Job Summary The position will cross cover the Pediatric Health Center and the OBGYN Clinic Care of pediatric patients, infants to 18 years Care of obstetrics and gynecological patients Organize and administers individualized age-specific professional patient care to female patients in an outpatient setting of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other regulatory agencies. Complies with unit and departmental scheduling guidelines. Delegates and prioritizes work assignments according to the individual associate's competence and patient care needs. Evaluates effectiveness, interventions and revises plan of care accordingly. Implements the policies of the hospital and Nursing Department. Performs assessment and reassessment of patients according to applicable department standards and identified tools. Performs interventions in accordance with current policy and procedure, safety guidelines and infection control principles. Provides patient/family education according to the same documents. Sets goals and formulates appropriate multidisciplinary interventions to meet these goals.
