We care for patients being treated for Cardiovascular conditions, Acute Respiratory Failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Multisystem Organ System Failure, Sepsis, Drug Overdoses, Gastrointestinal Bleeds, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Hypertensive Crisis, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, STEMI, cardiogenic shock and post heart catheterization. Our staff is committed to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our environment is challenging, team oriented, patient and family centered. We work collaboratively to provide opportunities for nurses to grow in critical thinking, professionalism, and participate in ongoing education. Our team consists of Intensivists, advanced practice nurses, critical care nurses, and respiratory therapists. Daily multidisciplinary rounds include the intensivist, advanced practice nurse, ICU nurse, case manager, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, infectious disease, and a nurse leader. SWAT team consists of intensivist, advance practice nurse and charge nurse available as bedside consult. ICU charge nurse responds to codes, and RRT’s. Each shift begins with a safety huddle to look back and forward 24 hours to review safety and quality concerns.
