Job Summary We are offering a sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. The first half is paid at 6 months and the second half will be paid at one year of employment. Job Summary Responsible for planning and providing nursing care to patients according to AORN Standards of Nursing Practice and Hospital policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to implement goal-directed nursing care for a defined group of patients. Job Summary The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for oncology patients. Is responsible for ensuring all adult patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services, including coordinating patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Navigator will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management and will serve as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population and will provide expert nursing care, which includes: direct clinical practice, consultation and education. Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrates the knowledge, skill, and coordination to provide nursing care and guidance to the cancer patient from screening to survivorship. Provides education and information to the patients and their family, helping to make the care seamless, continuous and comprehensive. A minimum of five to seven years demonstrated progressive nursing leadership or education roles required. Must have and maintain credentials required for clinical area, which may include ACLS, BLS, and NRP. (If, NRP is required for clinical area, must obtain instructor status within the first year of employment). Certification in specialty area is required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Membership in professional nursing organization required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Excellent human relations, verbal, and written communication skills required. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation computer software required. Teaching experience is highly desirable.
