Position: MDS Director (RN/LPN) Facility: Victoria Crossing Rehabilitation Center Location: Brandon, FL Status: Full-Time Compensation: $46-$49 hourly (based on experience) Position Summary Victoria Crossing Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and highly organized MDS Director (RN/LPN) to lead our MDS program and ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellence in resident-centered care. This leadership role is essential in supporting appropriate clinical documentation, reimbursement optimization, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all MDS assessments and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and PDPM requirements. Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and interviews. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for short-term and long-term residents. Lead and participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings. Monitor reimbursement opportunities while ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical integrity. Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives related to clinical documentation and resident outcomes. Qualifications Required Active, unencumbered Florida RN or LPN license . Minimum of two (2) years of MDS Coordinator or MDS Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, PDPM, Medicare regulations, reimbursement systems, and care planning processes . Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment. RAC-CT certification. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems utilized in long-term care settings. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. May be required to coordinate, organize and/or assist with household activities such as light housekeeping and meal preparation; transport individuals receiving services to planned and/or necessary activities, appointments.
