Responsibilities Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit. Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are being met; Notify them as soon as possible when patient condition changes. Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques. Breast Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary The Telfair Breast Surgery NP/PA works under the clinical supervision of the TBS Breast Specialty Surgeons and administrative supervision of the Director, Telfair Ambulatory Services. The role builds upon general nurse practitioner training and skill sets by requiring specialty focus in Breast Diseases with particular focus on high risk for breast cancers and breast cancer surgical patients, treatment management, and pre-and post-surgical follow-up. The NP/PA maintains a case load of patients and bills appropriately for services rendered.
