The Director of Nursing is responsible for supervising the nursing functions and for promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for clients who are detoxifying from substance dependency. The Director of Nursing shall be responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of nursing services provided to clients. What asks are required? Providing administrative oversight of the facility's nursing services, and where appropriate, directly supervising the facility's nursing staff. Assisting the Executive Director in developing and maintaining written objectives, policies and procedures related to nursing services, developing an organization plan, and developing a quality assurance program for nursing services, and reviewing all nursing policies and procedures, minimally, on an annual basis. In conjunction with the Executive Director and the governing authority of the facility, planning and budgeting for nursing services. Ensuring the coordination and integration of nursing services with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client. Ensuring that the facility complies with required nursing and staffing patterns. (1) year full-time experience with the management of addictions in a licensed substance use disorders treatment facility or equivalent. Knowledge of OSHA, OASAS, The Joint Commissions and general licensing standards preferred. Ability to be on the premises or available on-site or respond within 30 minutes during the facility's hours of operation. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner. Ability to assess needs and deliver nursing services to individuals detoxifying from substance abuse. Ability to screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms. Ability to screen for danger to self or others. Ability to analyze and interpret data to determine nursing recommendations and priorities. Demonstrated adherence to acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. Participation in continuing Professional Development. Understanding of the benefits and limitations of toxicology testing procedures. Knowledge of strategies for treating alcohol, cocaine, and other drug abuse. Knowledge of medication-assisted therapy. Ability to provide education and information to individuals and groups, through formal and/or informal processes, concerning their substance abuse. Demonstrated knowledge of accepted principles of client record management. Ability to supervise staff nurses and direct the nursing function of a detox facility. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for conducting client assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care to our clients. What tasks are required? Perform initial and on-going assessment of client’s medical, physical, and psychosocial status. Prescribe and monitor medication as necessary for clients in recovery. Obtain and evaluate health and medical history; perform a physical exam, conduct preventive screening procedures based on age and history; Identify medical and health risk. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to clients. Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals, follow-up, and progress in electronic health records. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. What we need from you? Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state. FNP dual-certified preferred but not required. 2 years of experience working with clients with substance abuse disorders preferred. Daily Pay Pay Rate: $18.00-$24.50/hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA): Performs duties such as: activities of daily living- bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming such as: comb/brush hair, nail care, shave. Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive devise regulations, proper utilization of restraint devises, special care needs. Provide for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (i.e. behavioral issues, splints, etc.) Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse including injuries of unknown sources. Documents resident care accurately and completely at point of care utilizing computerized medical record system. Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN. Answers call bells in a timely and polite manner. Assists in provision of post-mortem care. Performs vital signs as directed. Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment. Makes two hour and prn rounds on all residents. Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned. Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice. Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary. Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space). Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) Main Duties and Critical Tasks: Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe Resident Rights. Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents. Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents. Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. Required Education and Experience: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) license in the state of practice and employment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
