Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs and immunizations. Administers immunizations, medications, IVs. Performs quality control testing in compliance with CLIA regulations. 5. Recognizes changes in patient's physical and mental condition and takes appropriate actions. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Provides nursing interventions to appropriate to patient's physical condition and emotional status. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts either LPN or RN. Preferred: 1. BLS Certification Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an LPN or RN. 2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead and train a group of employees. 3. Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices. 4. Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures. 5. Knowledge of medical terminology and strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications and electronic health records. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions: Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
