Position Highlights: Position: Acute Care Nurse Job Type: Full-Time Location: Community Care of Palisade Responsibilities: General Duties & Patient Care: Ongoing review of patient's electronic records for orders and results. Assures that emotional and physical comfort and safe nursing care is provided to all patients. Continued assessment in a thorough and ongoing manner from triage through discharge. Assures patient care areas, triage, lab, nurses station and waiting room are well stocked, and clean and equipment and supplies are available. Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and procedures. Carry out ordered treatments and interventions per provider order and according to policy and procedure. Cleans and prepares treatment rooms for examination and procedures. Performs laboratory testing, adhering to all CLIA requirements. Provides and oversees direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and physicians’ orders. Communication and Documentation Reporting concerns or changes in the patient's condition to the Medical Provider. Documents patient information completely and per policy. Provides clinical expertise by sharing knowledge, demonstrated critical thinking assessments, and evaluation of overall impact of the patient, family and others involved in the care. Charts, maintains and performs quality controls on equipment according to schedules or as needed. Interviews patients, measures all vital signs as required for meaningful use. To include but not limited to, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Contacts patients, as requested or required, to report test results and provide patient education. Medication Administration: Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, provider orders and per policy. Observe patients for therapeutic or adverse reactions. Keeps providers aware of responses and documents. Wastes narcotics immediately with a second to prevent any diversion activity. Complies with hospital Medication Administration policies. Utilizes knowledge of medications, procedures, infection control, and safety precaution: and initiates appropriate interventions in crisis situations. Requirements: RN License Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months left before expiration is required upon hire Compensation: $36.00 - $41.40 per hour, depending on education and experience. Medical Assistant Job Description: Location: Western Medical Associates of the Grand Valley Schedule: Full-Time Signing Bonus: $3,000 Position: This position will be posted through July 31, 2026 and may remain open longer until filled Responsibilities: Provides patient care to assigned patients in the practice per hospital standards and procedures. Interviews patients, measures all vital signs as required for meaningful use. To include but not limited to, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Assists provider with assigned patients in the clinic per hospital standards and procedures Completes administrative functions as requested Inventories and submits orders to the Practice Administrator for all medical supplies, materials and medications. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA two (2) years of related experience preferred Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
