Description: Director provides inter-professional leadership for quality care and services for defined areas of patient care services and hospital services to achieve strategic and operational goals. The Director utilizes the concepts and standards outlined by ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing Administration and maintains competency in the domains as described by American Organization of Nurse Executive which include assessing, evaluating and maintaining current with one‘s professional practice, knowledge & environment through leadership, collaboration and effective communication utilizing a framework of shared governance while assuring and maintaining adequate human and fiscal responsibility in order to provide safe, quality care in a patient/ family-centered care environment. The Director utilizes the concepts of participative management to plan, innovate, coordinate, direct and evaluate patient services/ programs to ensure that services are provided within the philosophy and objectives as well as within the policies and procedures of the Division of Nursing. Estimated salary range for this position is $126148.63 - $167777.68 / year depending on experience. Qualifications: Degrees: Bachelors. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support. Registered Nurse. Additional Qualifications: If BSN, Masters degree in nursing or healthcare/management related field required. Without BSN, Masters in Nursing (MSN) required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and minimum of 5 years of leadership experience required. Certification in area of specialty practice or within 2 years of signing, promotion or hire. Description: In collaboration with supervising physicians, the APRN directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices. The APRN is an expert in patient care who provides quality care, performs patient assessments, H & Ps, and takes a thorough medical history. The APRN can order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. The APRN develops medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plan, prescribes medical regimen, and educates patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. May perform approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the Delineation of Privileges. The APRN works directly with physicians, staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The APRN is a clinical team leader that intervenes and manages deteriorating patients. The APRN integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. The APRN may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The APRN participates in and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location. If APRN requires hospital inpatient medical staff privileges and does not have an acute care certification, refer to BHSF Policy 701 titled Educational and training requirements to be credentialed to work in an acute care setting for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Description: The Nurse Navigator acts as liaison between patients, physicians and the respective care team. The Nurse Navigator is responsible for the coordination of care across the continuum, education/provision of information and support for patients, facilitation of decision making, advocacy and ultimately improved throughput and patient satisfaction. The Nurse Navigator supports the individual/significant others throughout the continuum of care in all settings. In addition, the Nurse Navigator will monitor patient outcomes, and participate in quality improvement activities. Experience in Electronic Medical Record systems preferred. Bilingual preferred. Preferred certification in area of expertise. For South Entities, RNs hired after 2/2012 with an Associates degree have 3 years to complete the BSN degree. Life Support Certificate (BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS) as per department standard.
