Job Details Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN's: Assess, monitor, administer medication and manage overall care for premature and/or critically ill babies in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients' loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education. What you'll bring: Passion for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in the NICU, Level III preferred Externship or Capstone in the NICU Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. A Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures and age of patients served on the unit. Job Details Requirements: Completion of Nursing Assistant program, BOCES or Military Hospital Corps School or equivalent with current New York State CNA certification or completion of a Nursing fundamentals course or equivalent within a RN program or a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Nursing Assistant. High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of safety and infection control practices. Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience required. BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
