Description 8 Acute Neuroscience is a team of positive, dynamic and talented neuro nurses providing exceptional nursing care to Neurosurgery and Neurology patients. We are a true medical-surgical unit treating patients who have spinal and brain surgeries, brain tumors, stroke, seizures, and neuromuscular diagnoses such as Myasthenia Gravis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. Our Team of nurses, physicians and therapists set the standards for highly collaborative care in order to become the first Comprehensive Stroke Center in the Southeast as designated by the Joint Commission in 2012.
