Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse communities of Portland and Vancouver providers. Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Treat both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages, 6 months old and up) Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays. Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments/medications. Collaborative work environment with the opportunity to work with a dedicated Scribe at our busier centers. Work in state-of-the-art centers are equipped with advanced technology, including an integrated EPIC EMR. Collaborate with on-site Rad Techs, Medical Assistants and Paramedics for support. What You Will Do (Job Summary): The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred. BLS accredited by AHA required. Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient. Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation. Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
