The Registered Nurse is a professional who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and best practices. Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services. Employ principles of communication, interviewing techniques, and problem solving and crisis intervention when performing psychotherapeutic interventions. Participate in the development of an interdisciplinary treatment plan with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs. Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday | 7:30am - 3:30pm Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; Associate degree Required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a psychiatric health capacity. Preferred three (3) years working in a psychiatric health care facility. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must demonstrate medication administration skills and complete nursing competencies skills checklist. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for directing and monitoring the facility-wide quality management assessment and quality performance improvement program, ensuring the facility programs follow all regulatory agencies, JOINT COMMISSION, NAPPH and State and Federal agencies. In addition, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for coordination of all staffing requirements within the nursing department, including scheduling staff, monitoring changes, updating, and reporting bi-weekly time reporting to payroll. As a member of senior management this position ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the facility’s goals and objectives , and actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management in designing and providing total patient care and services.
