Job Description Based in Sacramento. Travel is required; 2 to 3 days a month to sites in California. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of AIDS (OA), Registered Nurse Quality Improvement provides specialized nurse consultation, technical assistance, training, and education to CDPH/OA staff and Medi-Cal Waiver Program (MCWP) personnel. This role ensures MCWP participants receive appropriate care, agencies meet clinical compliance requirements, and CDPH/OA fulfills federal waiver mandates. Responsibilities include evaluating Nursing Facility Level of Care, conducting Program Compliance Reviews, and documenting progress on CMS performance measures. The nurse facilitates trainings, develops clinical plans and reports, analyzes medical data, identifies barriers, and provides recommendations. Heavy travel is required. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Two (2) years of experience as an RN. One (1) year of experience in community nursing. Minimum four years related experience. Ability to analyze clinical data and assess level of care needs, medical case management as well as other support services.
