Solid understanding of the requirements for resident assessments and the care planning process. Ability to handle multiple differentiating priorities. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication with residents, families, and health care team members. Experienced in organizational, time management skills. Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory and management experience. Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an approved School of Professional Nursing. Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and two (2) years’ experience as a Critical Care Nurse preferred. Maintain current BLS certification. ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current. As a condition of continued employment staff members must maintain current status at all times and not allows his/her certification/licensure/ registry to expire or he or she will no longer be compliant with the requirement of the job description. The Registered Nurse must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on this unit.
