About Total Life Total Life connects adults 65+ with licensed clinicians for behavioral health, geriatric care and longevity services, covered by Medicare, Railroad Medicare and major commercial insurers. Since 2021 we've grown to more than 200 credentialed providers serving patients in 49 states. Most longevity medicine is built for healthy 40-year-olds. Ours is built for older adults. The Longevity Program combines a comprehensive geriatric assessment with chronic disease management, cognitive health, medication review and weight management, organized around five pillars of healthy aging: sleep, nutrition, movement, mental health and social connection. It works alongside a patient's existing care and never replaces their primary care provider. The role This is an in-person contract role. We're looking for nurse practitioners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to lead longevity days at our partner senior living communities. Each day opens with a short educational talk for residents on healthy aging, using a presentation and speaker notes we provide. You then see the residents who sign up for one-on-one longevity visits. You'll be trained and supported by our Chief Medical Officer, a board-certified geriatrician who designed the program's clinical content. Your first site day is run alongside a member of our team. Schedule Site days are on weekdays. The presentation is the fixed part of the day. The rest depends on how many residents sign up. Expect roughly 4 to 8 hours per site day, a few times a month to start, with hours growing as bookings grow. Location: Main Hospital Bldg - 1st Flr Full Time - Nights PRIMARY PURPOSE The RN is a licensed professional who uses the Parkland nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery, that focuses on a particular patient population(s)/specific health conditions, by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays. Responsibilities What You’ll Do as a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN ) ? The Float Pool RN provides professional nursing care in alignment with national standards, company guidelines, and the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. You’ll serve as a clinical resource and liaison while adapting quickly to diverse assignments. Key responsibilities include : Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care. Conducting health assessments, obtaining patient histories, and providing education. Offering psychosocial support to patients and families. Safely preparing and administering therapies (medications, blood products) in accordance with governing standards. Performing venipuncture, accessing ports, and maintaining central lines. Monitoring labs, facilitating dose modifications per protocol, and consulting with providers for orders. Managing triage calls, symptom management, and medication management with accurate documentation. Assisting patients in accessing community resources. Following the Nursing Float Pool Playbook for role- and assignment-specific expectations. Qualifications What We’re Looking For : Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). 1–5 years of nursing experience ( Oncology strongly preferred ). Entry, mid, or senior-level candidates welcome . Current and active RN license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in diverse clinical environments. Preferred Skills : Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) or prior oncology/infusion/radiation experience. Strong IV and central line skills. Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities. Comfort with EHR systems ( OncoEMR , Epic, or similar). Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. #USONTX
