Implements the nursing process; assessment, planning, implementation of nursing plan of care, and evaluation of patient response to care. Coordinates patient care planning with other hospital disciplines. This position requires working at both CMH Ventura and CMH Ojai Preop Pacu locations. Responsibilities The Clinical Manager of the Oncology Infusion Center has the responsibility, authority and accountability for patient care, administration and practice within the Infusion Center and for the development of the work force who consistently demonstrates competent, efficient clinical practice. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Selects, schedules, assigns, and evaluates staff, adjusting hours and shifts as necessary to meet the needs of the unit and the patients. Coordinates orientation of new staff and assures that training and education needs of staff are met. Coordinates unit activities and the work assignments of staff members. Develops, interprets and enforces department and institution policies. Participates in the development and monitoring of unit operational budget and productivity standards. Participates in appropriate department and hospital committees. Directs preparation and maintenance of patients' clinical records. Inspects rooms and units for safety, cleanliness and comfort.
