Position Summary Assist in transporting patients for radiology studies and provides basic care of patients. Education High School Diploma - Preferred Experience 1 Year - Required License & Certification Professional Certification - Required Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Core Job Functions Proper safety procedures are utilized to ensure patient and staff safety are utilized. Verbally reports abnormal vital signs or other abnormal assessments to a nurse. Follows policies and procedures and physician's orders. Performs bedside glucose testing. Utilize interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and members of the Provider and RN. Communicates relevant, accurate, and complete information. Under the direction of the RN transports patients to other patient care areas Training is completed on all safe handling devices. Assesses the patient to determine the most appropriate lift equipment to use on a specific patient. Lift assist devices are used on all needed transports. Call lights and phones are answered in an efficient and professional manner and messages are communicated to the appropriate person. Work area is kept organized and clean. Adheres to safety policy wearing protective equipment while cleaning and reports any needed repairs directly to charge nurse. Follows Isolation Precautions per policy. Vascular Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary The nurse practitioner (NP) is responsible for assuring quality care and best practice for select vascular patients in collaboration with their supervising physician. In particular the NP will ensure patients receive appropriate and timely assessments, treatments, education, and disposition to support the quality initiatives of the cardiovascular service line which reflects best practice. This includes but is not limited to the CMS, ACC, STS, and other top performer initiatives. Perioperative preparation, and postoperative clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members. The NP will also work with the hospital staff to facilitate throughput for patient flow and timely discharge. The NP shall attend professional education programs to keep current with accepted changes in practice and to satisfy continuing education requirements of the state. Education Masters of Nursing - Required Experience 1-2 Years vascular patient care - Preferred License & Certification Registered Nursing License with State of Practice - Required Advanced Practice License and national board certification in the specialty area is required. i.e. family practice, acute care Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required Core Job Functions Obtains a complete history and physical on new patients. Charts and dictates progress notes appropriately. Confers with physician on patients presenting with more complex problems. Prescribes medications that are necessary to control medical condition. Notifies patient of test results.
