Description Maine Medical Center Management/Leadership Req #: 76791 Seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee a 21-bed Inpatient Medical Psychiatry unit caring for a medically complex patient population, with a strong focus on Geriatric Psychiatry. This role requires clinical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage a team in a dynamic environment where patients present with both significant psychiatric needs and medical comorbidities. Ideal candidates bring prior leadership experience, a collaborative approach, and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This Director, supported by a unit-based Nurse Manager, will lead a team of approximately 80 FTEs within a highly specialized inpatient unit providing care for patients with Medical and Behavioral Health diagnoses. With fewer than 10 hospitals in the U.S. offering a comparable model of care, this represents an exceptional opportunity for the right leader. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in behavioral health, demonstrated leadership experience, and a solid understanding of regulatory expectations for behavioral health patient populations.
