Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Department: Medical-Surgical Complex Care Unit (6800) Location: Rochester General Hospital Hours Per Week: 36 Hours (Full-Time) Schedule: Day SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, usually under the direction of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with established plans. The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the care delivery team. The Licensed Practical Nurse communicates the needs of the patient and the team; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, takes direction from the RN and delegates appropriately to the other members of the team. The Complex Care Medical-Surgical Unit (6800) is a 39-bed acute medical telemetry unit caring for a wide range of patients, including those with medical-surgical needs, orthopedic overflow, and ED holds. The unit supports both medically complex patients and those preparing for safe discharge. This unit is a great fit for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings that require strong clinical judgment and collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Care & Service - Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members. Medication Administration & Reporting - Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols. Documentation - Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process. Preparation - Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked. In order to support our mission, Helio Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on a Full-Time basis for our Rochester Inpatient Program . The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive treatment to those affected by substance use, mental health, and other behavioral health disorders. The schedule will be days, evenings, or overnights with rotating weekends.
