Job Requirements The Acute Registered Nurse must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis and hospital emergency procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient in the acute or post-acute care setting. Critical care experience (ICU/CCU) is preferred but not required. Home dialysis experience preferred but not required. Must meet all state/licensing requirements. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for dialysis patients in an acute care setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current CPR certification. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals. The Team Leader is responsible for assisting with the oversight of daily operations of the Nursing Unit. The Team Leader is responsible for the development and coordination of activities that promote clinically effective and efficient patient care. Plans, organizes and directs patient care activities under the direction of the nurse manager. Collaborates with the nurse manager in maintaining unit operations, supervises assigned personnel and consults and collaborates with other health care team members to provide safe appropriate patient care. QUALIFICATIONS: Certification in area of specialty within 2 years Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALs as required based on unit competencies Additional requirements as required by unit EDUCATION : Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
