Job Responsibilities Working in contract role in a local acute facility for a designated time period (usually 10-15 weeks) Planning and managing routine patient care at acute facilities Being accountable to follow and adhere to patient care plans Evaluating the condition and needs of patients and providing timely reports to medical staff Taking and monitoring the vital signs of patients and ensuring timely documentation Providing basic medical tasks, such as medication administration, to assist the nursing team and medical staff Applying and changing dressings and bandages to ensure the proper healing of wounds Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and the comfort of each patient with support for daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and dressing Assisting patients with ambulation and movements to and from wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers Monitoring urinary and other catheters to ensure proper drainage Communicating with patients and family members to explain treatments and procedures Ensuring updated and accurate patient records and protecting the confidentiality of patient information Qualifications and Skills Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Kentucky 6 months of LPN practice experience Successful completion of all state required training and/or state-sanctioned competency exam(s) BLS certified by the American Heart Association Immunizations as required Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs Ready for a Job That Truly Supports Your Life?
