Purchase department supplies, clothing and personal items for the residents. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information & follow facility guidelines in reporting non-compliance with said guidelines & treat residents with dignity at all times. Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital • Call responsibility involved- to be discussed during interview• Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions.• Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more.• Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings.• Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.• Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management.• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system. Qualifications • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP.• Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting.• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
