The population not only includes patients with cardiac disorders, and other complex diagnoses that require monitoring. The top DRGS: CHF, chest pain, stable cardiac arrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, uterine procedures, ureteral surgeries, major small/large bowel obstructions, post craniotomy patient and spinal surgeries transfers from ICU. Nurses are trained to be able to manage patients on high flow oxygen and BIPAP. Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
