Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history. Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices. Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies. May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software. Required Qualifications* Applicant Must Meet One Of The Following Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing. Minimum five (5) years of RN experience. Minimum two (2) years of recent (within the last 5 years) RN experience in Operating Room. Nurse Leadership certification or completion within two (2) years of accepting this position or when eligible to certify, whichever comes first. This program is intended to transform a practicing skilled and experienced critical care bedside nurse into a transport nurse that meets and exceeds the practice standards of Survival Flight and Michigan Medicine. This is a rigorous and extensive orientation which requires personal motivation and dedication as a self-directed learner. Outstanding interpersonal skills as evidenced by peer feedback, annual evaluations and demonstrated during the interview process. Assesses hospice care patients and families to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients as evidenced by documentation, clinical records, Interdisciplinary Team reports, after hours reports, and on-site evaluations. Assesses patient needs and obtains data on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors that may influence patient/family/caregiver health status. Communicates significant findings, problems, and changes in health condition, environment, or unsafe facility conditions to the Clinical Supervisor, physician, facility, and/or other personnel involved with patient care. Counsels, instructs, and includes the patient, facility, and family in following the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Teaches hospice philosophy and pain and symptom management to staff in alternate care settings (nursing homes, hospital, assisted-living facilities, etc.). Provides appropriate support at time of death and perform bereavement assessment. What is Required? Graduate of an accredited Certificate, Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing Current State License as a Registered Nurse RN 1 year of experience in a clinical care setting Experience in a hospice or home health environment is preferred 50% travel required Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment Valid driver’s license and insurance and reliable transportation to perform job tasks You will report to the Clinical Team Manager. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as residents’ healthcare needs change. Supervises and provides leadership, as well as coaching, to licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the community. The HWD level for each community is determined based on the total complexity of the role. Complexity criteria include, but are not limited to, factors such as size, type of product lines, medication management regulations, 90-day assessment requirements, multiple licensure requirements, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN.
