Job Description UW Medical Center - Montlake is seeking an Experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS We have 150 deliveries a month (as a quaternary care hospital) 70% of our OB moms are high risk with neonates, medically complex co-morbidities. We provide care for up to 14 antepartum patients, 9 L & D patients, 18 postpartum mother/baby pairs. We have antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum services. We staff according to AWHONN standards. We are a certified WHO-Baby Friendly Hospital. Will provide outpatient services if needed. SCHEDULE 90% FTE 36 hours/week, 12-hour night shifts. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The ARNP/PA is a member of the inter-professional gastroenterology and hepatology team that includes attending physicians, gastroenterology and hepatology trainees, multidisciplinary specialists (social workers, dieticians, pharmacists, psychiatrists) , other physician assistants, and nurse practitioners providing care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disease in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
