PRN FTE 0.0 Position Summary Nurse Practitioner (NP) provider will be responsible for initial diagnostic evaluation and treatment plan and progressive care of the patients till they are stabilized for discharge back to recommended level of follow up care.Responsibilities • NP will be responsible for care of maximum of 8-9 pts a day • NP will be responsible each day for a maximum of two new intake evaluations and treatment plan for new patients each day. The successful candidate’s primary site of practice will be UWMC-Northwest Gamma Knife Center, but may be asked to shift work to other UW/FHCC Radiation Oncology sites of practice if the clinical need arises. The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the full-time faculty as a Teaching Associate at the University of Washington with an anticipated start date of July 2026 or earlier. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The Radiation Oncology APP is a certified advanced practice provider whose integrated role encompasses both clinical care and education. The ARNP/PA-C functions collaboratively with attending physicians and as a key member of the interdisciplinary oncology team.
