Surgical Technologist - UMMC East Bank

Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. As a Surgical Technologist, you’ll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, arranging and passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room. Our Surgical Technologists work as a part of a strong team. Their cases include, but are not limited to, general, dental, ear, nose, and throat, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, open heart, orthopedics, neurology, bariatrics, solid organ transplant, gynecologic, colo-rectal, urology, plastics, and Da Vinci robotics. Schedule: This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours, primarily day shift (0630AM - 3PM), with occasional evening/night shifts. This position will also work a weekend rotation of approximately one weekend per month. About our OR at UMMC East Bank: The East Bank Campus is a teaching hospital and has 24 newly renovated Operating Rooms. Our Operating Room is performing an average of 60 cases per day. We provide innovative surgical suites, including a hybrid suite and intraoperative MRI suites, for adult patients needing surgical intervention.
