Purpose of Your Job Position The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. RN UNIT MANAGER(UM): The UM is responsible for the overall management of a nursing unit. He/she will direct nursing care to the residents, supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, provide education and discipline to staff ad needed.
