Overview Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of practical nursing. The Licensed Practical Nurse functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs tasks related to patient care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an School of Practical Nursing Experience: Previous LPN experience preferred Licenses/Certificates: License to practice as a LPN in the State of Alabama. Current BLS Certification required About Us The LPN or MA will assist the physician or provider with patient care in the Outpatient Wound Care Clinic. The clinical LPN/MA will prepare patients for provider visits by taking vital signs, removing dressings, cleansing/measuring wounds per policy, inputting data into EMR, relaying patient information to supervising RN or provider, and placing wound dressings as ordered. The LPN/MA will also assist with clerical duties as assigned in order to support a collaborative team.
