Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our hospice team Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm with occasional on call nights and weekends. Job Summary Provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulations as established by the State Board of Nursing and department policies. The RN/Case Manager coordinates the interdisciplinary care team for the patient and family to assure continuity of care. Services may be provided to neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. At least 2 years general nursing experience is required with current Hospice, medical, surgical, critical care or home health experience. Experience providing pain management, IV skills preferred. Bachelors of Science in Nursing Required or Associates degree in Nursing with a signed BSN agreement to obtain a BSN within 5 yrs of employment. Job Requirements This is a Spine & Neurovascular Acute Floor focusing on many neurological disorders under four services: Neurosurgery, Ortho Spine Surgery, General Neurology, and Stroke Neurology. Some of these diagnoses may be ischemic stroke, epilepsy, autoimmune disorders, cervical fusions, lumber fusions, etc. Staffing mix on this floor include the Registered Nurse, Patient Care Technician, and Charge RN all working 12 hours shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a). Nursing team works collaboratively with other services to safely get patients to a safe disposition of home or rehab. Patients on this floor range from being medically ready to be discharged or acutely ill and requiring a longer hospital stay. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or a registered nurse.
