Overview Illinois CancerCare is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated team. This role offers flexible scheduling with your choice of five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. This is a deeply rewarding specialty where your expertise and compassion will have a lasting impact on patients and their families. As an Advanced Practice Provider at Illinois CancerCare, you’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. You’ll work both independently and alongside physicians to assess, diagnose, and manage oncology patients across outpatient and satellite clinic settings. Manage acute and chronic conditions related to cancer and its treatments. Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and manage oncology emergencies. Provide care at satellite clinics with autonomy and physician collaboration. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects. Collaboration & Communication Serve as a key liaison between patients, families, physicians, and clinic staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Education & Leadership Develop and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and staff. Mentor nursing staff and contribute to continuing education initiatives. Collaborate with the Lead APP to identify and address knowledge gaps. Program Development & Advocacy Direct strategic planning of Advanced Practice Provider Program to promote continued growth and value to the practice. Advocate for the role of APPs within the organization and the broader healthcare community.
