Overview Illinois CancerCare is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dedicated team. This role offers flexible scheduling with your choice of five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. Manage acute and chronic conditions related to cancer and its treatments. Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and manage oncology emergencies. Provide care at satellite clinics with autonomy and physician collaboration. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects. Collaboration & Communication Serve as a key liaison between patients, families, physicians, and clinic staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Education & Leadership Develop and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and staff. Mentor nursing staff and contribute to continuing education initiatives. Collaborate with the Lead APP to identify and address knowledge gaps. Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required. 1–3 years of post-MSN experience preferred, ideally in oncology or a related specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in Illinois. Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS): Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program. Successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Summary: The Caregiver Administrator is a vital member of our team both in the field and in the office. This role is responsible for providing on shift training for new caregivers, meeting new clients for their first shift, in-office clerical/administrative duties and most importantly, last-minute coverage for open shifts so our clients are never left without coverage and care. This position requires an open schedule including nights and weekends, flexibility, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the continuity and quality of care for our clients. Caregiver Administrators report directly to the Designated Office Manager.
